The ESS-GRID SINOX2 operates as a central energy hub connecting multiple power sources and loads. When connected to the utility grid, the system separates general loads from critical loads. If the grid fails, battery power keeps critical loads running without interruption.
The system connects to external PV arrays through its built-in DC input, supporting up to 500kW of solar generation. An EMS coordinates charging from PV, grid, or generator sources based on time-of-use rates, load demand, and battery state of charge.
For sites with backup generators, the SINOX2 can maintain operation after switching to off-grid mode. The generator charges the battery while the system continues serving the load.
Each SINOX2 houses 8 battery clusters with 314Ah LFP prismatic cells in an 8P x 52S x 5S configuration. Total rated energy is 2,089 kWh (261.2 kWh per cluster).
The battery clusters operate at DC 832V (range: 728V-923V) and connect through individual high-voltage boxes. Each high-voltage box includes an isolating circuit breaker, MSD switch, HMI screen interface, and communication ports for PCS and inter-cluster coordination.
The liquid cooling system uses cold plates integrated into each battery pack chassis, with dedicated inlet and outlet ports per pack. This maintains consistent cell temperatures across all clusters during both charging and discharging.
The SINOX2 is available in two power configurations. The standard 1MW configuration uses 8 parallel PCS modules (180A each, 1,440A total) with 1.1MW overload capability. A 500kW configuration with 4 PCS modules is also available.
AC output is 400V three-phase at 50Hz or 60Hz. The power factor range covers -1 to +1 for full four-quadrant operation, and current THD stays below 3%.
An HMI control panel on the converter cabinet provides direct access to system parameters, operating mode selection, and module enable/disable controls. The PCS supports both on-grid peak shaving and off-grid backup modes.
The SINOX2 fire protection system uses a "detect early, suppress early" approach at both cabin and container level.
Combustible gas detectors, smoke detectors, and temperature sensors are installed on the ceiling of each storage compartment. These sensors feed into an integrated algorithm that evaluates gas concentration, temperature, and smoke levels simultaneously.
If thermal runaway is detected, the system activates aerosol fire extinguishing devices for total-flooding suppression. If aerosol suppression is insufficient, a secondary water spray system provides backup cooling and fire containment.
The exhaust ventilation system interlocks with the gas detectors to address explosion risk. An EP203 fire alarm control panel manages the entire sequence with time-stamped event logging and manual override capability.
Cabinet-based C&I systems work at 200-500 kWh. Once a project crosses 1 MWh, the number of separate cabinets, cable runs, DC combiners, and fire enclosures increases significantly, along with site engineering complexity. The SINOX2 delivers 2 MWh in one factory-wired unit. Battery, PCS, EMS, cooling, and fire suppression arrive integrated and tested. On-site work drops to AC connection, comms hookup, and a concrete pad.
In regions with frequent grid interruptions and high daytime solar availability, two problems compound: outages disrupt operations during peak hours, and PV generation goes unused after sunset. The SINOX2 addresses both within a single system. The 500kW PV input connects solar directly to the container without an external charge controller. The EMS stores daytime generation and dispatches it during peak rates or outages, with automatic critical-load isolation when the grid drops.
Mining sites, island grids, and off-grid construction operations face rising fuel logistics costs and tightening carbon reporting requirements. A full generator replacement is rarely practical in one step. The SINOX2 runs in hybrid mode alongside existing generators, absorbing baseload and letting the genset cover peaks only. Fuel consumption drops, runtime hours drop, and the transition happens without operational downtime.
Distributors and EPCs managing rollouts across multiple sites need a repeatable, factory-validated unit. The SINOX2 is a standardized 20ft container with two power configurations (500kW or 1MW) on the same platform. Same dimensions, same cooling, same fire system, same commissioning procedure across every deployment site.
Traditional BESS projects take months of system design, multi-vendor procurement, and on-site integration. The SINOX2 compresses this timeline. Built to order in 25-30 days, shipped as a single unit on a standard flatbed, and commissioned on site with only foundation, AC, and comms connections required. For projects with tight schedules or limited local engineering capacity, the container format eliminates the integration phase entirely.
BSLBATT offers both containerized and cabinet-format C&I energy storage. The right choice depends on project scale, site constraints, and deployment speed.

Cabinet systems like the LC250-522 and ESS-GRID C241 are modular: you can start with one unit and add more as demand grows. Up to 4 LC250 units can parallel to reach ~2 MWh, but each unit requires separate site integration.
The SINOX2 delivers 2 MWh in a single pre-integrated unit. All wiring between battery clusters, PCS, and EMS is completed at the factory. On-site work is limited to AC and communication connections. For projects that need 1+ MWh in one shot, the container format reduces site engineering time and installation cost.
BSLBATT designs and manufactures the ESS-GRID SINOX2 at its Huizhou facility, covering cell module assembly, BMS development, system integration, and container-level testing under one roof.
The SINOX2 platform supports two standard configurations in the same 20ft container shell: 500kW/1MWh (4 PCS modules) and 1MW/2MWh (8 PCS modules). Battery cluster count, PCS power rating, and PV input can be adjusted based on project requirements.
Both configurations share identical container dimensions, liquid cooling architecture, fire suppression systems, and communication interfaces. This simplifies system design for EPCs and integrators managing multiple project scales across different regions.
The ESS-GRID SINOX2 supports the following communication interfaces:
RS485 · Ethernet · Modbus RTU · Modbus TCP
The EMS provides centralized monitoring and control of all battery clusters, PCS modules, and thermal management systems. Data points include cell voltage, temperature, SOC, power output, and fault status.
The system can integrate with third-party SCADA platforms, cloud monitoring services, and site-level energy management systems through standard Modbus registers.

It includes 8 LFP battery clusters (2,089 kWh total), a bi-directional PCS (1MW rated), an EMS, a liquid cooling system for the battery compartment, air cooling for the electrical compartment, and a fire suppression system with gas detection, smoke detection, and aerosol extinguishing. All internal wiring between components is completed at the factory.
Yes. The BSLBATT SINOX2 supports both grid-tied and off-grid operation. In grid-tied mode, it performs peak shaving and valley filling. During a grid outage, the system switches to off-grid mode to maintain power to critical loads. It can also pair with a diesel generator for extended off-grid runtime. Note: the 1MW configuration uses optional external switching for on/off-grid transition.
Yes. The BSLBATT SINOX2 has an optional PV input rated at 500kW with 10 MPPT strings. The PV open-circuit voltage range is 250V to 708V in boost mode. This allows direct solar connection without a separate charge controller or DC coupling cabinet.
Both configurations use the same 20ft container, battery clusters, cooling system, and safety equipment. The BSLBATT SINOX2 500kW version uses 4 PCS modules (720A total), while the 1MW version uses 8 PCS modules (1,440A total). The 500kW configuration includes standard on/off-grid switching and isolation transformer. The 1MW configuration offers these as optional external additions.
The BSLBATT SINOX2 supports RS485, Ethernet, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP. These allow integration with third-party SCADA systems, cloud monitoring platforms, and site-level energy management systems.
The BSLBATT SINOX2 uses a multi-layer fire protection approach. Combustible gas detectors, smoke detectors, and temperature sensors continuously monitor the battery compartment. If thermal runaway is detected, aerosol fire extinguishing agents deploy automatically for total-flooding suppression. A secondary water-based spray system provides backup. The exhaust ventilation system interlocks with gas detectors to manage explosion risk.
The BSLBATT SINOX2 requires an outdoor installation on a level concrete foundation with sufficient load-bearing capacity for approximately 16.5 tons. The foundation should be at least 300mm above ground level. Installation must comply with local fire distance regulations, including NFPA 855 standards. The system needs clearance for cable access, ventilation, and maintenance access on all sides.
